Nidmarty Foundation was established by Mr. Ramakrishna Nidmarty, who serves as the Chief Functionary of the organization. The foundation is a non-profit, non-political, and professionally managed NGO dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with mobility challenges—specifically those who are unable to walk due to various injuries and disabilities.

A respected name in the field of Electronics and Instrumentation, Mr. Nidmarty is a technocrat, inventor, and lifelong social contributor. With a distinguished career spanning over 55 years, he has dedicated himself to both technological innovation and social impact.

One of his most notable contributions to the field of education is the establishment of the Society for Computer Technology & Research in 1983, under which he founded the prestigious Pune Institute of Computer Technology (PICT). PICT has grown into one of India’s leading engineering institutions.

A recent study conducted by a Stanford University professor on the role of Indian graduates in the U.S. startup ecosystem revealed that PICT is among the top Indian contributors to the American unicorn landscape. Many of its alumni hold senior leadership positions in Fortune 500 companies, while others have successfully launched their own ventures around the world.
